Snellgrove Double Screen Board 8 Frame

Also called Snellgrove boards, these double screened boards are used to create splits, swarm control, recombining a swarm with the parent hive to create great comb honey, then once the new queen is established, pinch the old queen and recombine for a great honey producing colony or preparing for winter, place a weak hive or nuc above a strong hive to share heat for overwintering. The double screen keeps bees from being able to sting each other while multiple entrance options allows for a top and bottom entrance into different hives. Made by a local Amish family using Ohio pine and assembled using stainless steel screws. Fits an 8 frame standard langstroth hive. *Pro Tip – This is one tool every beekeeper should have at least one of but a to do not know how to use it, or it’s advantages. Even first year bkeeps can benefit from it’s uses.

UK Orders

Orders using standard delivery options (Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class) will usually be dispatched within 24 – 48 hours of the order being placed (but we always do this as fast as possible). You will receive an email from us letting you know your order has been dispatched and another with tracking details included.

If you are not in when your parcel arrives you will be left a card, with instructions for collection at your local Royal Mail sorting office or how to re-arrange delivery.

Please be aware that at certain times of year there can be seasonal delays to the postal service, these are out of our control unfortunately.

Orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.  Orders placed after 1pm on a Bank Holiday Friday will be dispatched and processed on the first working day after the Bank Holiday.

Next Day Delivery

Next Day Delivery Orders will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and will require a Signature.

Next day delivery orders must be placed before 1pm. Any orders placed after 1pm will not be guaranteed to reach you by the next working day. Any next day delivery orders placed on a Friday will not be dispatched until Monday.

The below are exceptions that will incur delays to the Next Day Delivery Service, if in any doubt please contact us via our CONTACT page.
