The story of the visit: "Our second hospital visit was very different, more of an abandoned town than one stand-alone building. It consists of bakeries, barns and huge hospital wards built to treat tuberculosis at the end of the 19th century, most of it now left to rot. Some buildings have been saved and lived in, a trampoline sits outside one grand house, not 20 meters away from a barn housing a fascinating pile of clutter that seems to have been used as a playground of sorts. Room after room, building after building have been stripped and all that is left are empty shells, the hustle, and bustle of its former years reduced to static sound. The main staircase is a grand yet humorous relief to the repetitive wandering through empty corridors. This has changed hands and uses, from a 19th Century lung sanatorium to a German First World War hospital treating a young Adolf Hitler among others. After the Second World War the Soviets set up here and you wonder who added the palm trees. It is almost waiting for a ‘wish you were here’ postcard to be made." Illustrated by artists, ethically produced!

UK Orders

Orders using standard delivery options (Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class) will usually be dispatched within 24 – 48 hours of the order being placed (but we always do this as fast as possible). You will receive an email from us letting you know your order has been dispatched and another with tracking details included.

If you are not in when your parcel arrives you will be left a card, with instructions for collection at your local Royal Mail sorting office or how to re-arrange delivery.

Please be aware that at certain times of year there can be seasonal delays to the postal service, these are out of our control unfortunately.

Orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.  Orders placed after 1pm on a Bank Holiday Friday will be dispatched and processed on the first working day after the Bank Holiday.

Next Day Delivery

Next Day Delivery Orders will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and will require a Signature.

Next day delivery orders must be placed before 1pm. Any orders placed after 1pm will not be guaranteed to reach you by the next working day. Any next day delivery orders placed on a Friday will not be dispatched until Monday.

The below are exceptions that will incur delays to the Next Day Delivery Service, if in any doubt please contact us via our CONTACT page.
